‘Outfitters’ Owner Starts GoFundMe Campaign To Save DTLB Business

"Outfitters" owner Eddie Mouslmani has set up a GoFundMe page to assist in rebuilding his business that was destroyed during the looting

“Outfitters” owner Eddie Mouslmani has set up a GoFundMe page to assist in rebuilding his business that was destroyed during the looting in Downtown Long Beach on May 31, 2020. Outfitters was heavily featured in media coverage of looters breaking into the store, looting and destroying property and fleeing through broken glass doors and windows heavily covered by plywood.

The estimated loss to Mouslmani’s clothing store including merchandise totals more than $180,000. The physical damage to the store is more than $8,800.

Mouslmani has operated “Outfitters” in Long Beach since 2001. The current location is 256 Pine Avenue on the corner of 3rd Street and Pine Avenue. The store was previously located at 327 Pine Avenue.

“I love this community and I’m just so devastated in what has happened to my business and many other businesses. We know that our people and our supporters are not to blame and we will not give up and come out of this stronger,” said Eddie Mouslmani, owner of Outfitters in Downtown Long Beach.

“Outfitters” is an urban free type of clothing that reflects the free-living style. Their brands are chosen carefully to accommodate modern street fashion. The reason for their success is that the brands that they carry are both compelling and distinct. “Outfitters” is the house for mainstream and underground brands.
