Poki Cat Officially Opens at The Streets in DTLB
Located on Promenade North near 3rd Street, Poki Cat's bowls are built to order from their selection of freshly prepared ingredients

Poki Cat officially opens at The Streets in Downtown Long Beach on Saturday, September 22. Poki Cat is located at 325 Promenade North, near the corner of 3rd Street.
Joining the ribbon-cutting celebration was from left, Austin Metoyer, Economic Development and Policy Manager at Downtown Long Beach Alliance; Isaac Romero, Executive Administrator for Mayor Garcia, City of Long Beach; Cory Allen, Chief of Staff, 1st District Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez; Robert Luo, Executive Chef at Poki Cat; Jin Luo, Managing Member at Poki Cat; Yushan Wang, Member at Poki Cat; Jifeng Jiang, Member at Poki Cat; and Zhaona Liu, Member at Poki Cat.
The legend of Poki Cat starts with master chef and local sushi legend Robert Luo. Executive Chef Luo is the mastermind behind the flavors of Poki Cat and among the first to bring sushi to California. At Poki Cat, each bowl is built to order and made to the guests’ taste and dietary needs from Poki Cat’s selection of freshly prepared ingredients.

“This location at The Streets is perfect for the Downtown area with easy access for surrounding residents, office workers and a variety of guests to the center,” said Jimmy Luo, owner of Poki Cat. “It was important to identify a space that fit with our overall goal of achieving my father’s dream to break the shackles of tradition in both culture and taste and to make healthy, quality food and beverages more accessible.”
Poki Cat’s arrival compliments the recent openings of neighboring Loose Leaf Boba Company, AMMATOLI mediterranean bites, Burgerim, The ThickShake Factory and Table 301, along with the soon to open Portuguese Bend Distillery.

“The addition of Poki Cat further defines The Streets as a diverse culinary destination in Downtown Long Beach that offers a wide selection of restaurants in this six-block area,” said Tony Shooshani, Managing Member of Shooshani Developers and owners of The Streets. “Several micro-destinations are now thriving within the shopping center and we look toward further development including retail, entertainment and dining.”

Guests to Poki Cat can enjoy two hours of free parking that is available at adjacent parking structures at The Streets.
