Police Investigate Homicide In Belmont Shore
Long Beach Police discovered a decomposing body in a parked car on Wednesday night.
LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department is investigating a homicide in Belmont Shore after discovering a decomposing body in a parked car on Wednesday night.
Officers received a call at 6:19 p.m. reporting a strong odor from a vehicle near East Ocean Boulevard and Corona Avenue.
"Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim seated in a parked vehicle," a statement from LBPD read. "The victim’s body was decomposing."

Long Beach Fire Department officers forced entry to the vehicle and determined the victim dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Detectives are investigating the motive and circumstances of the murder, but have no information on the suspect at this time. the victim was identified as Deondre Washington, a 41-year-old resident of Los Angeles.
