Significant Arrests Made In Investigation Of 23 Long Beach Burglaries

LBPD announced Friday that multiple burglary suspects have been arrested and steps have been taken to prevent more from happening.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach Police Department officials announced Friday that throughout their investigation of 23 commercial burglaries in the last two months, multiple suspects have been arrested and additional burglaries have not continued.

For two months now, many businesses in Long Beach have been broken into and burglarized, and officers said they believe three different groups are responsible for the series of burglaries. In response to the burglaries, LBPD created a task force specifically dedicated to stopping incidents like these.

"In response to these crimes, we have increased patrols in the affected areas and furthered our commitment to protecting our community by creating a Burglary Task Force," LBPD officials said in a statement. "Since the creation of this task force, there have not been any new commercial burglaries related to the series."
