Suspect Arrested In Long Beach Murder
The Long Beach Police Department arrested a 64-year-old man in connection to the death of another man in Long Beach on Saturday, Nov. 19.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department arrested a 64-year-old man in connection to the death of another man in Long Beach on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Detectives determined the death of Michael Marker, a 58-year-old resident of Long Beach, to be a murder. At 4:47 p.m. on Nov. 19 officers responded to the 2000 block of San Gabriel Avenue with reports of a battery and the Long Beach Fire Department aiding an injured man.
"Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult suspect, being treated by Long Beach Fire for a non-life-threatening laceration to the upper body," a statement from LBPD said. "The suspect told officers he had stabbed another man in the area."

Marker was located in the 2100 block of Williams Street and was suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers and LBFD personnel rendered aid, but Marker was ultimately determined dead at the scene.
The suspect, was transported to a local hospital due to his injuries before he was booked on charges of murder. His bail was set at $2 million.
