Vespers on the Beach – This Sunday, 4:30 PM

One of my favorite times at Pilgrim Pines Camp, both as a young camper and as an adult volunteer is the Evening Vespers Services. Who knew you could be at “church” while under big trees, blue skies and chirping birds? Vespers is evening church outside, and the best part - it’s interactive and under 30 minutes!

This Sunday, October 3, everyone is invited to join us at 4:30 pm for a combined Vespers Service at Granada Beach in Belmont Shore. (Cross streets are Ocean Blvd. and Granada.)

We’ll be joining our friends at Bay Shore Community Church. Associate Pastor Susie Bjork and I will team up to bring a time of celebration and music. And since it’s the first Sunday of the month, we’ll also be offering communion (and not your typical bread and juice...).

So bring your chairs, towels and whatever else you’d like and we’ll worship and enjoy fellowship along with the seagulls, sand and waves! And please feel free to invite your friends!

Please note that the time has been moved from 6 pm as we have discovered that Justin Rudd and his Community Action Team will be doing their Interfaith Pet Blessing at 5:45, and we wanted to make sure that parking is accessible.
