Woman Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Long Beach

Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

LONG BEACH, CA – A woman in Long Beach was struck and killed Monday morning by a hit-and-run motorist who was driving a truck, a police officer said.

Officers dispatched at 1:30 a.m. to the 5500 block of East Second Street found the woman down in the street, said Officer Ben Hearst of the Long Beach Police Department.

Paramedics rushed her to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Hearst said.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a white work truck, possibly a Ford F-150 with a silver tool box in the bed and emblem on the driver's side.

Police had no physical description of the motorist.
