CULVER CITY, CA — Target plans to remodel the Culver City store as part of a nationwide investment aimed at expanding grocery offerings and modernizing customer pickup services.
The retailer recently announced plans to invest in more than 130 store remodels nationwide this year, including the store at Westfield Culver City. The projects are expected to be completed by early fall.
The remodeled stores will introduce a new "food-forward" layout that converts more merchandising space into expanded sections for fresh produce, dairy, meat, and grab-and-go meals. The redesign is also intended to highlight Target's Good & Gather and Favorite Day brands, according to the company.
In addition to expanded grocery departments, shoppers will see updated interiors with localized design elements, new lighting, and reorganized department layouts. Stores will also receive upgraded drive-up lanes and more efficient order pickup areas designed to reduce wait times.
Three other Los Angeles County stores will be remodeled: Carson, Norwalk East and Redondo Beach.
The remodel at all four LA County stores are expected to be completed in September or October.
