Woman, 80, Still Missing A Week After LA Disappearance

The 80-year-old woman suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help finding an at-risk 80-year-old woman who was last seen in Los Angeles last week.

Boonsin Phanichsiri was last seen at around 5 p.m. May 22 on the 400 block of South Virgil Avenue in Koreatown, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Phanichsiri suffers from Alzheimer's, dementia and diabetes and has not been seen or heard from since, police said.

"Her family is concerned for her safety," police said.

Phanichsiri is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Phanichsiri's whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD's Olympic Area Watch Commander at 213-382-9102 or the Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 877-527-3247. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers online or at 800-222-8477.
