Vehicle Crashes Into Metrolink Train In Los Angeles

PACOIMA, CA — A 77-year-old motorist suffered minor injuries Saturday when his vehicle crashed into a Metrolink train in Pacoima, authorities said.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 11:23 a.m. Saturday to 11130 N. San Fernando Road, near the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The vehicle in question was found in a nearby shopping center parking lot.

The motorist refused medical transport, the LAFD said. The 43 passengers on the train were assessed and no injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear if the motorist was cited or arrested.
