Evacuation Order Lifted For Max Fire North Of SFV

As of about 6:30 p.m., forward progress was stopped at 45 acres.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA — Evacuation orders were lifted Monday night after forward progress was stopped on a 45-acre blaze named the Max Fire in the Stevenson Ranch area, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded around 4:20 p.m. to a report of a brush fire in the area of West Magnolia Lane and West Autumn Place, the agency said. As of about 6:30 p.m., forward progress was stopped at 45 acres, according to the department.

At 5:42 p.m., the fire department announced an evacuation order for zone STV-PICO. As of 6:03 p.m., evacuation warnings were issued for five additional zones, according to Cal Fire.

All evacuation orders and warnings were lifted as of about 7:30 p.m., Cal Fire reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
