BURBANK, CA — Four suspects were arrested in connection with a series of vehicle thefts, Burbank police said Friday.
The investigation began in April with the theft of a Range Rover from a residence, according to the Burbank Police Department.
"Detectives immediately launched an investigation and utilized multiple investigative tools, including automated license plate reader (ALPR) technology, video camera systems and digital evidence analysis to identify a suspect and develop investigative leads," police said in a press release.
On June 3, detectives arrested 39-year-old Sargis Agabalyan of North Hollywood while he was allegedly driving another stolen vehicle. That led detectives to additional evidence that he might have been involved in a broader criminal operation.
On Thursday, detectives served a search warrant at a house in the 10600 block of El Dorado Avenue in Pacoima, where detectives recovered eight vehicle that been reported stolen, including the Range Rover stolen in April, police said.
Detectives also arrested 39-year-old Yesenia Herreradecasillas and 47- year-old Jorje Ramirez, both of Pacoima, and a 17-year-old boy.
Detectives booked all four suspects on multiple felony counts, police said. The case was presented to the District Attorney's office for charging consideration.
The investigation was ongoing, police said. Detectives were working to determine whether the suspects are connected to additional crimes in the area.
