Man Who Tossed Concrete, Fire Extinguisher From Downtown LA Roof Arrested

Officers assisted by an air unit spotted the man, and video shot at the scene showed debris being tossed over the side of the building.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A screaming tattooed man with no shirt and a neck tattoo was arrested Monday after tossing chunks of concrete and a fire extinguisher from atop a downtown Los Angeles apartment building.

The trouble was reported about 3 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of South Broadway, according to Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jesus Salazar.

Officers assisted by an air unit spotted the man, and video shot at the scene showed debris being tossed over the side of the 10-story building.

Police confronted and arrested the man, who was shouting incoherently as he was cuffed and brought down to the street, where debris had struck officers and police cars.

No serious injuries or damage was reported.
