A 13-year-old boy heard brush burning and alerted his parents, and called 911. The family fought the blaze with a water from a garden house until fire crews responded to the scene.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the brusher before it could spread to any homes. No injuries were reported.

Residents told KTLA homelessness has become a growing concern in their neighborhood, which they attributed to car burglaries in the area and RVs camping on the streets.

No arrests have been made, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
