Monsoonal Moisture To Add To Heat's 'Discomfort' In SoCal: National Weather Service

A heat advisory concerning extreme heat will remain in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday evening, officials say.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Monsoonal moisture will add to the discomfort of the heat in Southern California, starting Sunday and will continue throughout the week, the National Weather Service said.

A heat advisory concerning extreme heat will remain in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday evening.

Temperatures are expected between 85 to 98 degrees, and for the Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 105 degrees possible.

There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness for anyone, especially for children, and the elderly, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

There is also an air quality alert in effect due to the wildfires.
