LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles firefighter died following a crash early Friday, the Los Angeles Fire Department announced Saturday.
Firefighter Stan Reza, a three-year member of the department, was killed in the collision while he was off duty, officials said. The department did not release additional details about the crash.
"Our thoughts are with Firefighter Reza's family, and with every member of this department who is grieving alongside them," Fire Chief Jaime Moore said.
Memorial and service arrangements will be announced once they are finalized, officials said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
