Glen A. Wilson High School Alum Selected For Television Academy Foundation Internship

Glen A. Wilson High School alumnus John Kim has been selected for the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program. He is one of 40 students chosen by Television Academy members from across the country for the 2026 Summer Internship program. The Foundation offers paid internships at top Hollywood studios and production companies annually to college students nationwide.

Kim is a 2026 graduate of USC who majored in film and television production. He will be an editing intern this summer at Ping Pong Productions, an Emmy Award-winning production company in Glendale, California, through the Foundation's program.

"As a student editor, I've spent years cutting projects largely on my own: building assemblies, organizing media, and handling sound and color myself," said Kim. "That independence taught me a lot, but it also means I've never experienced how real editorial teams operate at a professional scale. Opportunities to observe editors who have made this craft their career and their livelihood are very rare at the student level, so you bet I'm going to make the most of this summer."

Kim is originally from Hacienda Heights, California.
