Boy, 3, Kidnapped During LA County Home Invasion

The 3-year-old boy was taken during a home invasion Wednesday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police were searching Wednesday for a 3-year-old boy who was abducted from a home in the San Fernando Valley, according to police.

Officers responded at about 8:12 a.m. to the 7600 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, near Saticoy Street in Van Nuys, following reports of a home invasion and kidnapping, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A man allegedly took the boy and fled in a black Ford Explorer, KTLA reported.

Police described the suspect as a man with black hair and brown eyes who was last seen wearing a black shirt and black sweatpants.

Police said the child might be the subject of a custody dispute.

The relationship between the suspect and the boy was not immediately clear.

No injuries were confirmed. An AMBER Alert had not been issued as of Wednesday morning, according to KTLA.

Additional details about the circumstances of the reported abduction were not immediately available.
