Though it's referred to as "restaurant week," the summer edition of Dine LA runs for half a month — from Friday, Aug. 14 through Friday, Aug. 28.

"Dine LA offers a chance to experience the creativity, culture, and hospitality that define Los Angeles' dining scene through the people and restaurants that bring our community together," Dine LA Executive Director Stacey Sun said.

Several restaurants are joining the program for the first time this summer, including Dominique Crenn's Monsieur Dior, Omaniku, Hipico, Dune Atwater Village and Perse Restaurant.

At Dune, the $35, all-day menu includes a choice of starter, sandwich and sweet. Starters include hummus with house flatbread, loaded steak fries, falafel and feta-labneh dip, while sandwich options range from organic green herb falafel and pickled beets to pasture-raised lamb, fried chicken shawarma, grilled chicken souvlaki and steak gyro. Diners can finish with a date shake, rose water-infused dates or house baklava.

Other participating restaurants include CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Broken Spanish Comedor, Ammatoli, JINYA Ramen Bar, Ryla, Sichuan Impression, Dama and La Popular.

At Sichuan Impression in Alhambra, the $72, all-day menu is designed for three to four diners and leans into the restaurant's bold, chili-forward specialties. Guests can build a meal from dishes such as wontons in chili oil, mapo tofu, stir-fried chili chicken and Angus ribeye with scallions before moving on to signature plates including tea-smoked pork ribs or boiled fish with rattan pepper and pickled vegetables. Cold noodles, fried rice and other staples round out the family-style spread

Dine LA Restaurant Week is held twice a year and is intended to encourage diners to explore restaurants and neighborhoods across Los Angeles County while supporting the local hospitality industry.

Participating restaurants, menus and reservations are available at DineLA.com.
