Passenger Tumbles Out Of Suspect's Moving Car During Police Chase

A driver led police on an hours-long pursuit through the desert, Inland Empire and Los Angeles County Tuesday afternoon before being arrested, according to reports.

Officers began pursuing the blue SUV at around 1:30 p.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway in Victorville. California Highway Patrol officers had tried to stop the driver in connection with a felony reckless driving warrant, according to KTLA.

From there, the driver traveled through the Inland Empire and into the San Gabriel Valley.

The driver later headed west on the 10 Freeway before exiting onto Garvey Avenue in the El Monte area, KTLA reported.

Around 3 p.m., a passenger tumbled out of the car as it was moving. The driver continued, Fox 11 reported.

By around 3:15 p.m., the pursuit had continued onto the eastbound 60 Freeway in the Hacienda Heights area.

Fox 11 reported that the suspect was speeding along the 10 Freeway at more than 100 mph at one point.

The driver headed back east toward the Inland Empire. By 3:45 p.m., the driver — a woman — had stopped on the 60 Freeway in Ontario and was captured on aerial footage being apprehended by police, NBC Los Angeles reported.
