Man Killed In Stabbing, 2nd Body Found In Norwalk Within Hours

Authorities were investigating two incidents reported several hours apart.

NORWALK, CA — Authorities investigated two deaths in Norwalk Saturday morning: the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man and the discovery of a body near a freeway off-ramp.

There was no immediate indication the incidents were connected.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded at about 5:54 a.m. to Rosecrans and Dumont avenues, where they found a 21-year-old man with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, KTLA reported.

Investigators determined the victim had been involved in an altercation with possibly three other people. One person later sought treatment for a stab wound at a hospital and was detained, according to KTLA.

The sheriff's department said everyone involved had been located and there was no threat to the public, according to KTLA. The victim's identity and additional details about what led to the altercation were not immediately released.

Several hours later, at about 8:20 a.m., a body was discovered on the eastbound 105 Freeway at the Norwalk Metro Station off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP personnel were investigating the discovery. No additional details about the person were immediately available.
