AutoNation is helping more than 2,000 local students begin the school year ready to succeed. Throughout the summer, AutoNation Finance Associates in Irvine, California, collected, sorted, and donated essential supplies including pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders, erasers, and backpacks to benefit youth served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast.

This initiative was part of AutoNation's effort to support back-to-school supply drives across the nation. In total, more than 3,400 school supplies were donated to organizations, including the Broward Education Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, Texas; and the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, New York.

"At AutoNation Finance, we believe that investing in students is an investment in the future of the communities we serve," said Kim Gershon, Chief Operating Officer of AutoNation Finance. "Our Associates were excited to come together to collect school supplies that will help local students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn. We are proud to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast and the important work they do to empower young people and help them reach their full potential."

The back-to-school drive reflects AutoNation's broader commitment to giving back to the communities where its Associates live and work, a commitment that extends to supporting organizations impacting health with a focus on cancer research, youth empowerment with a focus on career pathways, and education with a focus on financial literacy.

"Partners like AutoNation are essential to our mission and demonstrate the power of collective impact," said Robert Santana, Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. "Their support of our Back 2 School Campaign helped us equip more than 2,000 students with the supplies and confidence they need to start the school year ready to succeed."

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has served Orange County youth and families since 1941. Across eight Orange County communities, the Club is empowering the next generation to reach their greatest potential, build the confidence and skills to pursue their goals, and become resilient, future-ready leaders and changemakers.
