LOS ANGELES, CA — Grammy-winning R&B singer Lionel Richie has reportedly checked himself into a hospital after the "Dancing On The Ceiling" performer had to take a seat as his concert came to a close in St. Louis Saturday night.

The 77-year-old Beverly Hills resident is in the intensive care unit at a hospital in St. Louis to undergo testing as doctors look into slight dehydration, TMZ reported.

According to TMZ, witnesses in attendance said the four-time Grammy winner appeared to be having some struggles toward the end of the concert.

Richie reportedly asked for a chair so he could sit while performing his final song, "All Night Long."

However, the American Idol judge hopes to be discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, per TMZ.

Richie experienced a previous health issue in June, reporting dizziness at his concert in St. Paul. Paramedics responded to the venue and transported him to a hospital by ambulance, according to TMZ.

During his concert at The Muny Saturday night, Richie addressed his recent health issues, The St. Louis American reported.

"Some things have been happening on this tour that kind of shook me up a little bit, because I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on," Richie said, per the St. Louis American. "I went back to the doctor, and he said, 'You are suffering from dehydration.'"
