Hit-And-Run Driver Struck 2 Pedestrians, Fled Scene: Police

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are seeking the public's help to find the driver in a hit-and-involving two pedestrians, authorities said.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, on Tuesday at around 2 a.m., a white vehicle, possibly a 2025 Kia K4, was traveling east on Sunset Boulevard east of Bronson Avenue when it collided with two pedestrians who were crossing the street.

The driver fled eastbound on Sunset Boulevard, then southbound on Van Ness Avenue, failing to stop, identify themselves, and/or render aid, as required by law, police said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and treated the pedestrians for visible injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Motorists are reminded that if they are in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves, police said. Pedestrians are reminded to use caution on the roadway and not to pose a hazard to oncoming vehicles, police said.

On April 15, 2015, the city council amended the Los Angeles administrative code and created a hit-and-run reward program trust fund, police said. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information regarding the offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise, police said.
