LOS ANGELES — Two children were killed and a man was injured in an apparent attempted murder-suicide Sunday in Los Angeles, according to police.
Officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to South Catalina Street and Venice Boulevard in the Pico-Union neighborhood, Public Information Officer Tony Im told Patch.
A 4-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl had been shot, Im said, while a man, aged 30-40, had suffered self-inflicted gunshot wounds. All three were taken to local hospitals and the children were pronounced dead, according to Im.
The man remained in custody in unknown condition at a hospital, Im said.
