OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center will host its 5K Walk & Remember on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Woodley Park (Lake Balboa) in Encino, bringing together individuals, families, and supporters to honor those who have died and to raise funds for grief support services throughout Los Angeles.
The OUR HOUSE 5K Walk & Remember is a signature community event that blends movement, remembrance, and collective healing. Participants walk in memory of those who have died, share personal tributes, and take part in meaningful ceremonies designed to acknowledge loss while fostering hope, connection, and compassion.
“OUR HOUSE believes grief deserves to be witnessed, supported, and talked about,” said Julia Miele, Executive Director of OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center. “This walk creates a shared space where people can honor those who have died while being reminded that they are not alone on their grief journey.”

Musician and longtime OUR HOUSE supporter Andy Grammer reflected on the power of the event, sharing: “The OUR HOUSE 5K is one of the rare events where community comes to grieve together. The deep joy that arises from communal grief is profound. Every time I perform at it, I am reminded how much I personally needed to be there.”

The event is open to the public and welcomes walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to form teams, fundraise in honor of those who have died, and invite friends and family to walk alongside them.
