
The 23rd Annual LAFD/LAPD St. Baldrick's Pancake Breakfast and Fundraiser - Los Angeles’ largest and longest-running St. Baldrick’s event - returns to The Vineyards at Porter Ranch on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
This important event brings together the Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department, and the San Fernando Valley community to raise crucial funds for childhood cancer research.
With over $1.4 million raised to date, the event features first responders and community members shaving their heads in solidarity with children battling cancer. This year's event will feature life-saving initiatives, and high-profile attendees, including:
- Visual Highlights: Dozens of first responders "Braving the Shave" by official barbers Image by Ty Jordan, static displays of police/fire apparatus, and a thrilling LAPD helicopter flyover.
- VIP Appearances: LAFD Fire Chief Jaime Moore, LAPD Police Chief Jim McDonnell, and Councilmember John Lee.
- Live Entertainment: American Idol finalist Alexis Lopez leading California Musicbox, a live DJ, and magicians from LA's famed Magic Castle.
- Family Fun: Star Wars characters (Dark Side Riders), LAPD K9 officers and motorcycles, free face painting, caricature drawings, and a balloon artist.
- Local Flavors: A free pancake breakfast sponsored by Gus’s BBQ, complimentary Peet’s Coffee, and refreshments from Toastique and La Popular.
- Community Impact: A live UCLA Health blood drive and bone marrow donor registration on-site.
