“Redemption Song” Premieres at Hollywood Fringe Festival with Live Original Music

Event Details
Writer/director Cece King premieres her new original play “Redemption Song” at The Broadwater (Second Stage) as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, with performances on Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m., Monday, June 15 at 5 p.m., and Sunday, June 28 at 11 a.m.
Featuring live original music and emotionally driven storytelling, “Redemption Song” follows Joe Malone, a gifted musician haunted by a tragic mistake that destroyed his family. Eight years after serving prison time for the death of his younger brother, Joe returns home seeking forgiveness, healing, and redemption through music and the family he left behind.
Set against the backdrop of the honky-tonk South, the production explores themes of grief, family, loss, and second chances through a raw and intimate theatrical experience anchored by a fearless ensemble cast and live performances of original songs by Matt Pynn and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Wes Hutchinson.
The ensemble cast features Bobby Gun as Joe, Rachel Lyn Murray as Taylor, Charley Rowan McCain as Emmy-Lou, Claire Fry as Lisette, Sarah Summers as Carmen, Richard Follin as Paul, and Chris Smith as Scott.
Tickets are $20 (plus service fee) and available through the Hollywood Fringe Festival website.
