Learn a short history of digital video editing and practice making a found-footage film using professional editing tools and copyright-free resources during this fun and immersive workshop. Open to participants ages 15 and up.
From the earliest computer-based editing systems of the 1970s to today’s software, digital editing has transformed how movies are made, making it more accessible for professional filmmakers, independent artists, and everyday creators.
Join us for an entry-level interactive digital editing workshop on the art of found-footage filmmaking. Learn a short history of digital editing, discover where to access copyright free materials, and get an introduction to the landscape of Adobe Premiere. Participants assemble a short film from a pre-selected collection of digital, copyright-free images and sounds. Whether you’re picking up editing for the first time, looking to refresh your skills, or eager to experiment with something new, this workshop is for you.
Spots are limited and must be reserved in advance. All... workshops are free with museum admission and are first-come, first-served. Museum admission is free for youth 17 and under.
