In this month’s workshop, learn the art and science of puppetry for stop-motion storytelling with a professional Hollywood animator, using the same materials preferred by top filmmakers, including wire armatures for structure.

About Drop-in Workshops for Teens

Teens can join our Education team on the third Friday of every month to explore the museum, hang out, and get creative.

Major support for the Academy Museum Teen Program is provided by the Beverly, Donald, and David Kobrin Fund. Additional program support for Drop-In Workshops for Teens provided by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

Location: Shirley Temple Education Studio, Lower Level 1 

Workshops are designed for teens 14 and up. Snacks will be provided.  

All workshops are free with museum admission and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Museum admission is free for youths 17 and under.
