Event Details
Join RuckusRoots for an extraordinary evening featuring a runway show with local designers showcasing creative upcycled fashion. Guests can enjoy food, drinks, a silent auction, and an art market, all while listening to DJ sets by Dougie Stu and Erinn Bone. All funds raised go directly to support free art and nature programs for the Los Angeles community.
Where Waste Meets the Runway
Nearly 15 years after throwing their very first TRASHion show in 2012, RuckusRoots is bringing the movement back to the runway to highlight creative climate solutions. Sponsored by Rediscover Center, the gala will feature a jaw-dropping collection of avant-garde, wearable art created entirely from reclaimed, recycled, repurposed, and unconventional materials. Handpicked local artists—including a featured designer spotlight on Hollywood-based upcycling specialist Hanna Aabram—will transform what most consider "garbage" into high-fashion statements.
A Dreamy, Grooving Soundtrack
Providing the evening's auditory landscape is Los Angeles’s own Doug Stuart, performing under his solo moniker Dougie Stu. Widely recognized for co-writing and producing the rhythmic, soft-dance, and low-key disco catalog of indie powerhouse duo Brijean, Stuart’s solo performance will inject the evening with a vibrant blend of organic rhythms, jazz sensibilities, and alluring electronic grooves perfectly calibrated to a night of eco-conscious celebration.
