Accessible screening

On the last Saturday of every month, the museum's Family Matinee is an accessible screening where we offer open captioning, keep the theater dimly lit, and maintain a lower volume for viewers who are neurodiverse.

A popular comedy team of the 1940s and 1950s, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, goes up against Universal Studios' monsters in this zany spoof that inspired several creep-tastic sequels. After Dracula (Bela Lugosi) teams with scientist Dr. Sandra Mornay (Lenore Aubert) to hunt for a more sophisticated brain for Frankenstein’s Monster (Glenn Strange), they settle on dim-witted but lovable Wilbur Grey, played by Costello. Thanks in part to memorable appearances by the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr.), and Vincent Price voicing the Invisible Man, this horror comedy mashup manages... to do justice to both horror and comedy genres―a feat frequently attempted but rarely achieved.
