Police Seek Man Seen Peeping In Windows And Exposing Himself

The LAPD released security images of a man seen peeping in windows, following and harassing women and exposing himself.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man has been harassing women, exposing himself to them and peeking in windows in the West Los Angeles and Mid-City areas, and police on Thursday released images of the man in hopes that someone can identify him.

One incident occurred just after midnight on Jan. 28 when the man followed a woman home.

"The suspect began harassing residents in the 800 block of North Croft Avenue," the Los Angeles Police Department said in a written statement. "He exposed himself and made crude comments to a woman on her way home, then returned several more times to stare in her windows."

According to police, he did it again in the early morning of March on the 5700 block of West Sixth Street and on the 1200 block of Armacost Avenue shortly afterward.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a being around 40-50 years old with dark, graying
hair, a dark mustache and brown eyes. He's approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing
about 180 pounds.

"When you're at home, you should be thinking about comfort and relaxation, not this lewd conduct," said LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins. "There's no place for this in our neighborhoods."

The LAPD has increased patrols in the areas and released security images of the suspect.

"The community is our most valuable ally and source of information," Hopkins said. "Someone out there knows who this guy is and can help us put an end to this disturbing behavior."
