2 Dogs Die After Flames Engulf OC Mobile Home
The fire was reported in the 300 block of Welcome Lane in the City of Seal Beach and resulted in the death of two dogs.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Crews tackling a mobile home blaze in Seal Beach found two dogs who died in the fire Sunday night, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
Firefighters were called to the structure fire in the 300 block of Welcome Lane at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night to find a mobile home that was fully engulfed in flames, authorities said.
Firefighters attacked the blaze and simultaneously searched the mobile home. Unfortunately, two dogs were discovered inside of the mobile home. They died as a result of the fire, authorities said.

However, the aggressive response from firefighters did help save a two-story structure that was being threatened by the fire, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg Barta said.
According to Barta, the sole female resident was helped out of her home by neighbors.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
