40MPH Gusts, Showers And Cold Weather Hitting Seal Beach This Week

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach residents, prepare for the return of wintry weather: the National Weather Service projected brisk winds, cold weather and a chance of showers this week through the region.

As a result of higher-than-average winds, the National Weather Service issued a Wind Hazard Advisory on Tuesday, Feb. 14 throughout Orange County, including in Seal Beach.

Here's what residents can expect for weather this week:

On Monday night, the National Weather Service projected a 20 percent chance of rain in Seal Beach and nighttime temperatures in the low-'50s.

On Tuesday, Seal Beach residents can expect a chance of showers in the morning and winds up to 40 miles per hour by Tuesday afternoon. Through Tuesday night, residents can expect the brisk winds to continue.

By Wednesday, residents will likely experience wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour and cool temperatures in the high-'60s.

The strongest gusts will occur near the Orange County coast, the NWS said.
