50 New Trees To Be Planted In Los Alamitos This Month
Crews from a local nursery will spend this December planting at least 50 trees along Los Alamitos Boulevard.
LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The City of Los Alamitos is moving forward with a plan to plant 50 new trees in the coming weeks, a city statement said.
Crews have been hard at work since Dec. 12 planting Crepe Myrtles in all different sizes along Los Alamitos Boulevard. The city said in a statement that the move to plant the trees is an example of the city continuing its commitment of urban forest expansion.
"These mature trees will provide long-term benefits to the city and serve as a valuable resource for residents and visitors who frequent city limits," the statement said. "Among the most common benefits of trees are enhancement of air quality, reduction of sound pollution and overall improvement of quality of life."
