7-Foot Waves Possible In Seal Beach Saturday: Beach Advisory

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach residents can expect big waves this weekend, after the National Weather Service issued a Beach Hazards Statement for the Orange County coast Friday.

Residents will likely see four- to seven-foot waves generated from an incoming west-northwest swell, the service said. The highest surf is expected as west-facing beaches, especially in San Diego County.

The Beach Hazards Statement is in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, the service said.

Residents should be wary of large waves and strong rip currents that can create hazardous swimming conditions.
