Los Alamitos has a new Mexican restaurant.
Adalberto’s Mexican Food opened its first Orange County eatery this week at 4240 Katella Ave. Manager Peter Huerta, a Santa Ana resident, said Wednesday’s grand opening was “packed” and it’s still busy.

Apparently, word has gotten around because, by Thursday afternoon, the drive-thru was constantly full.
“We’re excited to be here for everybody in the community,” Huerta said before heading to the grill.
The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. according to Huerta.
Huerta said to ignore the “24 Hour Drive Thru” notice on the menu. For more information about the restaurant, call 562-430-7702.
According to the chain's Facebook page, the chain has 11 other locations in California, including Stockton, Sacramento and San Diego, and has been open since 1994.
