The outage area is around Golden West Street south of the San Diego (405) Freeway, said Robert Villegas of Southern California Edison.

Within about an hour, power had been restored to about 90 percent of the customers. The cause was listed as an "equipment issue," Villegas said. No further estimate when the remainder of the power will be restored but Edison continues to work the problem.
