Motorcyclist Killed In Seal Beach Freeway Transition Road Crash

The crash shut down the transition road for several hours in either direction Wednesday night.

SEAL BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night on a freeway transition road in Seal Beach.

The crash happened at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the junction of the eastbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway and the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.

Upon arrival, officers found a motorcycle rider on the transition road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name and age was withheld pending next of kin notification.

The collision closed the transition road for several hours in both directions.
