Johnston Stakes at Los Alamitos for the third straight year, snapping jockey Edwin Maldonado's long slump. The win highlighted the closing weekend of the two-week Los Alamitos thoroughbred meet in Cypress, where jockey and trainer title races are coming down to Sunday's final card.
