Saturday, May 18, Only!!! Here's an
event that's literally One-Of-A-Kind, and well worth seeing in person, before
the One-Day/ Two-Show (one 2:PM Matinee, & one 8:00PM Show)
"rare" opportunity leaves our readily reached neighborhood, thanks to
La Mirada's Theatre of The Performing Arts. The theatre has long been praised
and enjoyed as a fine venue of high-quality entertainment of very diverse kinds.
The always well-produced offerings span Dramatic Plays, Musicals, Clever Comedies,
Outrageous Farces, Children's Theatre Tales, and Classical Orchestral Concerts(amazingly
Free Classic Events to expand access to Classical Music for young & old). The
Performing Arts Theatre has also expanded to top-notch, first-rate productions
newly created, and recently, some shows on their way to Broadway, or just
arriving from Broadway. Lately, thanks to satellite abilities, some Big-Screen
events have been broadcast right into our backyard, from across the globe so we
share(in real-time) fabulous Operas, or Plays, or other events also being seen
with audiences from all around the planet. They have also had special One Day
"Tribute-Shows" to great musical performers of the past. That leads
up to the Saturday, May 18, 2013 Live, Two-Shows Special, that not only is a
Tribute to a Remarkable Entertainer, but this time, to the luck of us all, this
Female Super-Star, is going to be there is Real Life, making possible about as
close a chance to sitting down and chatting with the delightful Shirley
MacLaine, in person, as we could hope for.

 

Shirley MacLaine is not only a
"Super-Star", of FILMS (Awards), BROADWAY (Awards) TELEVISION
(Awards), BOOK AUTHOR Awards), PERSONAL APPEARANCES, (Rave Reviews), etc,
etc... She's also a Super-Star Human Being. It's almost an understatement to
call her a unique, One-Of-A-Kind entertainment performer, when she's also as
remarkable, and multidimensional person who could (and has) danced her way
through life, as well as become a fascinating philosopher, spiritual person
that would be as rare a captivating neighbor to chat with over "life"
(and listen to her wisdom) as much a remarkable entertainer who lights up any
stage she sets foot on, to the delight of audiences of all ages, interests,
shapes and sizes.

 

Well, I'm happy indeed to say -- Shirley
MacLaine is coming right to our own backyard -- live, energetic and bringing
her surprises of topics, stories, discussions, and ... and ... well we won't
really know yet until we see what she's up to this Saturday at the stately but
always warm stage of The La Mirada Theatre of the Performing Arts. ... That's
what makes it a surprise. We're lucky enough to hang out listening to Ms
MacLaine, who has hung out with other "folks" like Jack Nicholson,
Jack Lemon, Anne Bancroft, Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, Debra Winger, Sally Field, Julia Roberts and Anthony Hopkins... all just coincidentally also Oscar
Winners (as is Ms MacLaine herself). So it's particularly nice to see Shirley
stop by to see us "mortals" in person. In fact, Ms MacLaine is also
known for an interest in the "spiritual" aspects of "mortals",
and I'd like to hear a few of her insights on that topic, which I become more
and more interested in, as my birthdays seem to swish-on-by quicker and quicker
each year. Enlightenment may be quite interesting ... I hope. At any rate, I'm
sure happy to see her.
