Beauty On The Beach In Orange County: Photo Of The Day
This ephemeral moment on the shoreline was captured by a Seal Beach resident while she was admiring the winter sunset.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Beautiful moments can't last forever, but pictures can. This photograph of a beautiful moment on the shores of Orange County was shot by a resident born and raised in Seal Beach.
Lia Arambula visited the Seal Beach Pier on Dec. 22, 2022 and told Patch that she noticed a visible imprint in the sand where some kids had been digging a sandcastle or "something of similar imagination" earlier.
"As the tide receded, the impression filled with water like a small river; with each wave, the water swirled and began drawing even more grooves into the damp sand that reflected the vibrant side," Lia said.

"I lowered the camera to hover just above the sand and take the picture; I could hear the water rushing back into the ocean, and smell the salty seaweed strewn across the beach at low tide," she said. "When I turned around, I smiled as I saw dozens of people up on the pier with their phones out, each intent on capturing the beautiful scene too!"
