Great Free PC Software Tools!

Ever want really great tools but didn't want to shell out a bunch of cash? Here are some of my favorites.

Looking for great software tools that don't require shelling out a bunch of cash? Here's a list of some of my favorites.

If you wish you had the full Acrobat suite but find the $300 rather expensive, try this free product instead: http://www.nitropdf.com/free/

The full commercial product is $120, but the free version creates and reads very
nicely, loads faster than Acrobat and allows markup.

It even has a drop-box icon on your desktop to place files into and get PDFs
out. Of course, there is a printer driver too, for printing from Word and other programs directly to a PDF.

Putty - Telnet/ssh/serial client

Virtual Box - Best desktop Virtual machine product, EASY to use, surf the web on a virtual machine and be truly safe!

CPUID - What CPU and memory am I running?

Filezilla - Great FTP client

Imgburn - CD/DVD burner software - EXCELLENT - throw away all that other junk

juedit - Nice text editor, larger files support (15 meg w/o issues)

OpenOffice - a suite compatible with Microsoft Office without the price tag!

Spotify - This is what you would get if Pandora and iTunes had a baby.
