Campus Cop Charged With DUI: OCDA
A Cal State Fullerton Campus Police Officer was charged with being intoxicated on the job, Orange County District Attorney's Office said.

FULLERTON, CA ā A campus police officer was charged Thursday with driving under the influence while on patrol, the Orange County District Attorney's office has said. Cal State Fullerton police officer, Thomas Henry Higgs, 59, exhibited signs of intoxication during a campus police briefing about 8 p.m. on May 7, according to Michelle Van Der Linden of the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
"Officers notified their command staff, who investigated this case," Van Der Linden said.
Higgs is accused of having a blood alcohol content of .09 percent "while driving a marked patrol car on the campus," she said.
Higgs is charged with misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and faces a possible sentence of six months in the county jail, Van Der Linden said.
