Car Smashes Through Nail Salon Front Window In Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS, CA —A car smashed through the front window of a Los Alamitos nail salon, Tuesday afternoon, authorities reported.

The driver, who erroneously had the car in drive rather than reverse, ended up inside the Gloss Nail Salon, according to an Orange County Fire Authority spokesperson. A few people inside the salon suffered minor injuries, but no one was severely injured.

The crash in the 10700 block of Los Alamitos Boulevard happened at about 2:45 p.m., Los Alamitos Police reported over social media.

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday said that manicurists and clients inside were startled, and a few suffered minor injuries, but there was no one seriously hurt in the "minor incident."

The car broke some glass and damaged a sink, according to Holaday.

Paramedics treated the injured employees and customers at the scene. The nail salon suffered minor damages, police said.
