Car Smashes Through OC Medical Building; Two Injured
A car crashed into a orthotics and prosthetics office building on Thursday, trapping people inside.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA ā A vehicle smashed through a medical building in Fountain Valley midday Thursday, trapping people inside, according to reports.
Police and medics responded to the office located on the 16500 block of Harbor Boulevard to discover the car inside the Fountain Orthotics and Prosthetics building and patients trapped, some injured. Fountain Valley police Sgt. Kham Vang said.
Two people were pinned, Vang said.

A 77-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man in the building at the time were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, Fountain Valley Fire Battalion Chief Bryan McKay said.
A 44-year-old man who was in the office was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, McKay added.

The victims were in "relatively stable condition," McKay said. "The driver escaped harm."
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
