North OC Chipotle Robbery Part Of Restaurant Burglary Ring?

A Chipotle robbed Monday & is possibly connected to a series of restaurant robberies in Orange County. Did you see anything? Say something.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A Beach Boulevard restaurant was robbed by an armed gunman late Monday, police say.

On Tuesday, authorities were investigating whether the robbery of the Huntington Beach Chipotle is connected to a series of restaurant robberies throughout Orange County.

Police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at approximately 9:46 p.m. Monday at the restaurant located at 16200 block of Beach Blvd., according to Huntington Beach police Sgt. Tom Weizoerick.

"The gunman fled before police arrived," Weizoerick said. "The man took at least $500 and fled out the front door going south on Beach Boulevard. A containment perimeter was established but police were unable to locate the man, who was described as wearing a white shirt, a baseball cap and green pants"

Multiple agencies will share information from the robbery investigations to determine if they're connected, Weizoerick said.
