Coast Highway Crash Seriously Injures Pedestrian, Shuts Down Street In Seal Beach: Police
The crash happened Thursday night when Seal Beach Police officers responded to reports of a severe traffic crash on Coast Highway.

SEAL BEACH, CA β A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Thursday night crash on Coast Highway in Seal Beach, authorities said.
The crash happened at around 7:45 p.m., when officers responded to a serious traffic crash at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Anderson Street, Seal Beach Police Department Lt. Julia Clasby told Patch.
"The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in serious condition, and the driver was released after the investigation concluded," Clasby said.

The status of the injured person was not immediately known.
The crash prompted police to shut down northbound traffic lanes at Pacific Coast Highway and Anderson Street for several hours Thursday night.

By 9 p.m., the road had been reopened, according to police.
Drugs and alcohol were not found to be a factor in the crash, Clasby said.
