Coastal Hazards at Orange County Beaches
A coastal hazard was reported by the National Weather Service for Orange County Beaches on Thursday.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The National Weather Service San Diego reported elevated surf and strong rip currents from Friday through Monday.
"A moderate sized west to northwest swell of 4 to 6 feet at 15 seconds will bring elevated surf and strong rip currents on Friday," they said.
The swell will ease slightly on Saturday but will be followed by a second, slightly larger northwesterly swell Sunday into Monday.

Surf heights of 3-6 feet are forecast Friday through Monday with occasional sets to 7 feet on the west facing beaches of Southern San Diego County and Orange County coastal areas.
The Beach Hazards statement will remain in effect until Monday Afternoon.

Midday high tides of 5.3 feet Friday will decrease to 4.4 feet by Monday.
Hazardous swimming conditions are reported for inexperienced swimmers.
Expect strong rip currents. Obey all posted warning signs and flags, and always talk to a lifeguard before swimming.
Use caution when in the water and always swim near a lifeguard.
